GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MOVEMENT TRIBE
Movement Tribe offers group and individual classes that allow you to explore the principles of “Movement” and discover how this discipline can enhance your understanding of your physical abilities while improving your performance.
1. Membership with Movement Tribe
To participate in our classes and access our studio, you must subscribe to a membership at Movement Tribe under the following conditions:
The membership is for an indefinite duration and can be terminated with one month’s notice (exceptions: 6-class package, 12-class package, personal training).
The minimum subscription period is three calendar months.
2. Termination of Membership
After the minimum subscription period of three months, you can terminate your membership under the following conditions:
Send a written notice of termination (Movement Tribe, Chemin Rieu 1, 1208 Geneva) or by email (info@movementtribe.ch).
A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required for termination at the end of each calendar month.
Exceptionally, immediate termination may be requested in the following situations:
Presentation of a medical certificate indicating a contraindication to physical activity.
Proof of relocation more than 100 km from Geneva.
Job loss.
Military service.
3. Classes and Personal Training
A membership or package with Movement Tribe is required to participate in classes.
Each class has a maximum number of participants, determined according to the type of class.
Any class cancellation must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance by phone or in person; otherwise, the class will be charged.
We reserve the right to modify the class schedule and reduce the number of classes during school holidays.
Whenever possible, any schedule changes will be communicated one month in advance.
For monthly memberships of one class per week, it is possible to accumulate up to two classes in case of absence, provided you are an active member to recover these classes.
You may “freeze” your monthly membership for a maximum of two months per year, with 30 days’ notice. Each frozen month will be charged CHF 45.
Personal training sessions are also available under conditions to be agreed upon.
4. Access to the Studio
You agree to take care of the facilities and equipment provided and to follow all usage instructions.
5. Our Right to Cancel Your Membership
We reserve the right to terminate your membership with immediate effect in the following cases:
Rude or abusive behavior towards other members or instructors.
Adopting or threatening a violent or aggressive attitude.
Repeated violation of the general terms and conditions of Movement Tribe, particularly the rules for using the facilities and equipment. In such cases, the notice month will still be due.
6. Right to Image
By accepting these general terms and conditions and becoming a member of Movement Tribe, you consent to having your image captured in the form of photos or videos during classes and events organized by Movement Tribe. These images and videos may be used for promotional, communication, and marketing purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media, and other promotional materials.
If you do not wish to appear in these images or videos, please inform a team member before the start of each session or event.
Movement Tribe is committed to respecting your privacy and will not use your image for purposes other than those described without your explicit consent.
7. Liability and Safety
You participate in the classes and use the facilities of Movement Tribe at your own risk. We encourage you to consult a healthcare professional before starting any physical activity. You agree to inform the instructor of any health problems or injuries that may affect your participation in the classes. Movement Tribe cannot be held responsible for any injuries or accidents occurring during sports practice, except in cases of gross negligence on our part.
8. Protection of Personal Data
Your personal data is collected and processed by Movement Tribe in compliance with the current regulations on data protection. They are used exclusively for managing your membership, billing, and communication with you. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your prior consent unless required by law.
9. Changes to the General Terms and Conditions
Movement Tribe reserves the right to modify these general terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to members by email or posted in the studio. The changes will take effect one month after their notification.
